I took an IT/Web class in college, and found it truly interesting. For my senior capstone project, I chose to build a website for a small recruiting firm. However, since I took an introductory class, my skills were very limited. I was unable to build a fully functioning website, and instead, built a basic mockup based on the client's needs.
In June 2014, I graduated from DePaul University with a BA in Communication and Media and a minor in Journalism. After I graduated, I had a few small jobs, but never really found what I was passionate about.
In February 2015, I began taking beginner-programming classes to keep myself busy. After the first intro to HTML/CSS class, I took with Women Who Code I realized that I wanted to pursue programming and I began attending several intermediate classes with Girl Develop It (GDI). Through GDI I was introduced to Dev Bootcamp (DBC).
As a graduate of DBC, I have experience building dynamic and responsive web applications. I learned how to effectively work on a development team and have proper workflow.
I am the Interactive Developer Intern for Resource Ammirati! I build user interfaces, mobile-ready email templates and use modern web development techniques, including Responsive Web Design and user experience best practices.
Looking forward to it!
